Welcome
aboard the Rampage with Captain
Randy Ratliff!Randy was raised in Washington and began fishing
with his father at a very young age. In 1978 and 1979, he worked as a
deckhand in Westport. He then moved to southern California to work with
his brother-in-law, Sterling Santley, who is the alternate captain of
the Rampage. Sterling introduced Randy to big game tournament fishing
and they got several competition wins to their credit. They also ran a
six pack charter boat service in San Diego in-between tournaments.
While the staple fish was albacore, they also targeted giant blue fin
tuna, yellow fin tuna, big eye tuna, Mahi-Mahi (dolphin fish), yellow
tail, marlin, mako sharks, thresher sharks, halibut, bonito, barracuda,
white sea bass, sand bass, calico bass and rockfish.
Randy and Sterling have over 50 years of experience
between them. Randy has run boats all the way from Washington to Cabo
San Lucas, Mexico and, after fishing all along the west coast,
decided to return to Washington because he felt that it still has some
of the best fishing in the world.
The Rampage, formerly the Macs Effort, provides a
fast comfortable ride. It is 55’ long and has twin 450 horse Detroit
V871 turbo diesel engines that will get you to the fishing grounds
quickly. The Rampage is also a great fishing platform that is easy to
get around on and has plenty of space around the rail and in the
cockpit. It is equipped with a refrigerated fish hold (no salt brine on
this boat) for the best quality fish keeping. In addition, the
Rampage
has 10 comfortable bunks, modern electronics, high definition TV, a DVD
player and surround sound. The full galley is equipped with a stove and
a microwave/convection oven and the wheel house lounge is a great place
for guests to visit with the crew.
Be sure to request the
Rampage for
premier service and fish care. You are fishing with friends when you
fish on the Rampage. |
